A photographer came to stay at Horton View Farm

Recently we were lucky enough to have photographer Poppy Hollis as a guest here at Horton View Farm. She stayed in a fully furnished bell tent for two nights. I thought (and hoped) she might take a few snaps on her phone and maybe share something on her Instagram stories, but to my delight she took lots of absolutely stunning photos. She even got up at dawn (which is pretty darn early at this time of year) and captured the most magical images.
As an artist, I enjoy taking the time to really observe my surroundings, but the wonderful thing about having another artist/ creative to stay is that they look at things differently and see things that I haven't even noticed. In Poppy's hands her camera has captured the stunning beauty of familiar views that tend to look very ordinary and flat on my iphone. I feel so lucky to live here, and I find something new and special in this place every day. When I sat flicking through Poppy's images for the first time, some of them stopped me in my tracks. She has captured some of the magic, that feeling I get when I'm in this place that I can never adequately describe or capture.
There are too many gorgeous images to have them sitting on my computer unseen, so I thought I would dedicate a blog post to them, so you can enjoy them too.
All the images in this gallery are by @poppyhollis. You can find Poppy on Instagram and on her beautiful website here.
I have more images to add, so check back soon to see more.
